Nokia 8250

Today I bought a Nokia 8250 to replace with my Nokia 8210. The Nokia 8250 is a variant of the Nokia 8210 designed for Asian markets featuring a slightly different design, carved patterns on the back, blue backlight, and ringtone composer.

They say the “screen fade” problem is solved in the new variant, but I can clearly see its screen is divided into 4 rows, each one consisting of 12 pixels, with each row having a gradient effect, darker at the top, and brighter at the bottom.

Seems like they can’t fix what’s wrong with the LCD and/or pad after struggling for years!

One thing they’ve fixed though, is the handsfree button firmware bug seen in early 8210 models. The handsfree button is now able to activate “Speak Now” once depressed and held.
