The following article is a review of what Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and Britney Spears’ Womanizer have in common.
Nokia Corporation: Established in 1865, active in GSM mobile industry since 1991, fifth most valuable global brand, world’s largest manufacturer of mobile phones, sold 440 million mobile phones worldwide, 40% of all global mobile phones sales.
Britney Spears: Born in 1981, active in music industry since 1998, USA’s eighth and one of the world’s best selling music artists, sold 31 million albums domestic and 83 million albums worldwide.
Their industry’s first Symbian touchscreen phone, and her industry’s first nude scene in a music video, all combined in Womanizer.
Britney’s new video, Womanizer, has been watched over half a million times on YouTube in less than a day, setting a new record in digital media transition.
As an achievement over her last videos, she’s completely naked in this one (unrated version), needing you to login to YouTube to confirm you’re at least 18 years old.
To captivate underage audiences as well, her body is covered by steam in the rated-version video, scheduled to be released on December 2nd (her 27th birthday) on MTV, then to hit all music video satellite channels as a freak storm.
It’s been rumored the video’s been partially financed by Nokia, because the video features Nokia’s soon-to-be-released Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, the first Nokia smartphone featuring a wide 640x360 (16:9) touch-screen 3.2 inch 16.7 million color display operating on the Symbian S60 5th edition touch user’s input. Codenamed “Tube”, the phone targets both the creepy Apple iPhone and Sony Ericsson touchphones simultaneously, and considering its less-than-€300 MSRP they’re definitely going to be destroyed.
To me, hot features include the high-resolution 640x360 16:9 wide touchscreen, its massive 1320 mAh battery, and the microSD memory mechanism, with the latter being extremely important. Only someone whom experienced a lazy internal memory feels me.
But it’s not an N-Series, and a cheap phone anyway, with no high-quality camera, but then N96’s got to be this well-equipped.
